For a maximum period of 90 days (within any 180-day rolling period) thanks to a visa-free regime between Ukraine and Slovakia. Please note, however, that during the emergency situation declared due to COVID-19 in March 2020 (and not cancelled ever since) a foreigner who legally enters Slovakia is entitled to stay here until one month after cancellation of this emergency situation (i.e. even after the respective 90-day period).

Tolerated Residency on the grounds of temporary refuge. The application may be submitted either directly upon entry to Slovakia at the relevant border crossing or subsequently at the department of foreign police in the district where the applicant is staying.
The applicant will need to prove his/her identity by one of the following personal documents: (i) driver's license accompanied by birth certificate; (ii) valid or even invalid passport; (iii) valid personal ID card; or (iv) any other personal document with photo accompanied by birth certificate.

If you don’t hold a passport of a Schengen member country you can enter Poland via Temporary residence. If you sign the declaration form you agree that you will travel on to your home country.
